Bonaire

I first went to Bonaire in April 2022. I really can’t emphasise enough how perfect the wind is. It’s windy almost non stop, like a machine that has been tuned to the perfect settings and it doesn’t switch off.I had never experienced trade winds before going to Bonaire and it just amazed me how clean and consistent the wind was. If you like windsurfing in board shorts with an abundance of wind then this is the perfect place. There are plenty of windsurf centres to rent kit and take lessons. You can stand up almost everywhere making it very easy to learn whether you’re a first timer or developing your skills it’s perfect for everyone. The water is super flat and the wind is usually 18 - 20 knots.I spent most of my sessions on 5.2 and sometimes my 4.8 on the windier days (84kg rider) and I improved loads whilst being there.Bonaire is truly one of those special places in the world that I will certainly return to.Check out my detailed spot guide here: All Spot guides

Dahab

I first visited Dahab in January 2021, it was the first place I had been too where it was windy and warm almost everyday. I enjoyed it so much that I spend the next few months living there and then for the next following 2 years did the exact same thing. One of the main reasons I could make this possible is because it’s so cheap to live there. If you’re looking to go on a cheap holiday or even do what I did and live in there for a few months then Dahab is the one.The wind will start to come in early in the morning and last until just after midday which as a morning person I love. Being able to get out of bed and straight onto the water is incredible.I bring my own gear and store it at Dahab stars but there are lots of centres to choose from if you want to rent gear, take lessons or store gear.Check out my detailed spot guide here: All Spot guides

Vasiliki

I have been working in Vass for a few years now and it’s one of my favourite places to be in the world. One of the best things about Vass is the community. There are so many likeminded people that love to get out there on the water and have a good time then spend the evenings at the local bars and restaurants with lots of familiar faces. If you’re looking for somewhere hot, windy and with a variety of activities for everyone, Vasiliki is the one.A classic day in Vass is like this: Zero wind & flat water early in the morning; perfect for paddle boarders, E-Foilers and wakeboarding. By 10am the onshore breeze starts to kick in which is typically around 8 - 12 knots. The wind then settles over lunch time. By 3pm the wind will have likely shifted to a cross shore direction which can bring strong winds upwards of 20 knots often around 25 knots. These almost clockwork conditions provide something for everybody, no matter your level.I’m currently working for the Surf School Vasiliki, so stop by and say hello if you’re around :)Check out my detailed spot guide here: All Spot guides

Jericoacoara

I first went to Jeri in November 2022. This is my favourite Autumn destination. It’s ideal for upper intermediate and advanced windsurfers. The trade winds provide consistent strong wind; my most used sail was a 4.4 and I was often on a 4.0. There’s a lot of keen windsurfers that love to spend their time in Jeri but it’s also a very vibrant place where Brazilians will go on holiday. There are a few great windsurf centres along the beach where you can rent gear, take lessons and store equipment. The flight to get there is quite expensive but once you're there it's all very good value.I will certainly be back to Jeri in the future.Check out my detailed spot guide here: All Spot guides
